The James

Project Overview

The James is a luxury mixed use building located on Admiral Cochrane Blvd in Annapolis Maryland. The building houses 237 apartments in 5 levels situated atop a multi-level parking garage. The property includes such amenities as an elaborate lounge, a business center, a fully equipped gym, and a rooftop deck. An elevated courtyard holds a resort-style swimming pool, state of the art grilling equipment, an outdoor lounge, and a firepit with an entertainment areas. Foundations include conventional spread footings and a slab on grade with some consideration for grade changes. The parking garage and at grade amenity areas were constructed of cast-in-place concrete slabs, columns, and walls. The courtyard was formed from folds in the concrete. The 5 levels of units above were created using prefabricated wood roof and floor trusses and wood-framed walls.
