The project consists of one 249-unit wood-frame residential building over retail podium in the Potomac Yard district of Alexandria, Virginia. DC. Amenities include outdoor courtyards with water wall; outdoor kitchen; bar/entertainment area; pool.The project consists of one 249-unit wood-frame residential building over retail podium in the Potomac Yard district of Alexandria, Virginia. DC. Amenities include outdoor courtyards with water wall, outdoor kitchen, bar/entertainment area, and pool. This structure consists of 1.5 levels of under ground parking. The lowest level is a 5" slab on grade and the elevated parking levels are 8" thick CIP slabs with drop panels. The first floor level of this structure has parking and residential units and has an 8" thick CIP slab with drop panels. The second floor level of this structure is the transfer slab level that supports 4 stories of wood framing above it and a central courtyard at the second floor level. The 2nd floor slab is a 12" thick CIP slab with drop panels. The structure above the transfer slab is the residential portion of the building, which consists of 4 stories of wood and falls under the Type 5 construction. The framing levels above the transfer slab are constructed of 2x field framed walls with 18” pre-manufactured floor trusses. The roof is constructed with pre-manufactured roof trusses.
