Project Overview

City Arts II is a 60 unit mixed use, apartment building located in downtown Baltimore, MD. It features 3 levels of residential units over amenity spaces including exercise rooms and art studios.

Challenges & Solutions

The building includes an elevated slab and a steel framed bridge to allow it to span over an existing alley which was an important feature to maintain in the site plan. The use of various structural materials across the project stemmed from different loading conditions and pricing exercises that were conducted alongside the General Contractor to achieve the most economical structural solutions
