Project Overview

This project consists of one, three-story barracks building, with a total of 150 units suitable for 300 persons. There is also a 2,000sf lawn equipment building and an open assembly pavilion. The first level is at grade, and contains 12,000 square feet of assembly, meeting, and lobby space. The floors above contain barracks on each wing and central core areas that provide some assembly areas.

Challenges & Solutions

Located at the site of a previous military family housing complex, the overall design, scale and materials of the barracks building provide a residential quality and were developed to harmonize with the adjacent facilities. The building perimeter was designed to withstand blasts
