Project Overview

The Hudson House is 55+, income-restricted community comprised of 36 one and two bedroom apartment homes in one 4-story building with covered surface parking. The project is located within walking distance to the Mineola Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) transit hub. The Hudson House is just minutes away from employment, shopping and entertainment areas in Nassau County. The foundation for the project consists of conventional spread footings and slab on grade. The at grade level provides parking covered by a cast-in-place, elevated transfer slab supported upon cast-in-place columns. The units, built over the transfer slab, are created from 2x, field-framed wood walls with 18" pre-manufactured floor trusses. The roof of the structure consists of pre-manufactured wood roof trusses.
